All pets, if old enough, have been spayed or neutered. The adoption of a puppy or kitten is contingent upon his /her new "parents" having the procedure done as soon as the appropriate age is reached. 

 The L.A.W. makes every attempt to screen its pets for illness. However, an illness, especially in a puppy or kitten, may not be apparent at the time of adoption, but become evident several days later. Once you have signed the adoption papers, your new pet is yours. If you are unhappy with your choice, you may return him/her to us. No refunds will be given.  

 The L.A.W. reserves the right to refuse an adoption.

Adoption Agreement

I                                promise to love, to protect  and to cherish                       and to provide                   with

 food, shelter and veterinary care.

If the new pet is a puppy or kitten,  I                          agree to have                   spayed/neutered by 6 months of age.

Failure to do so will void the adoption agreement.

 

 

League for Animal Welfare Adoption Acceptance Agreement.

 

I/we acknowledge that                    is now my /our pet and that he is my /our responsibility. I/we understand the League for Animal Welfare makes every effort to ensure that each of its adopted pets is healthy and will make a good pet.

I/we understand that not all health problems are apparent at the time of adoption. Any health problems that occur are my/our responsibility. I/we agree to provide any needed  veterinary care as well as routine shots, flea protection and for dogs heartworm protection and for cats feline leukemia virus vaccinations.

If my /our new pet proves unsatisfactory in any way, he may be returned to the League for Animal Welfare. The adoption donation will not be refunded.

I/we understand that no one can ever guarantee the behavior of any animal. I/we acknowledge that there is always a risk of animal misbehavior or aggression. I/we agree that I/we will never allow a child or children to play or to interact unsupervised with the pet.

By my /our signature(s) below I /we release the League of Animal Welfare, its volunteers, agents or others performing work on behalf of the League from any and all liability arising from the adopted pet or its adoption process

Furthermore, I/we agree that any and all disputes will be settled by binding arbitration.
